President Donald J. Trump, invoking constitutional authority and provisions of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), has suspended the physical entry of aliens involved in what he terms an “invasion” at the southern border. This executive
action cites INA sections 212(f) and 215(a). It halts the entry of migrants. This pause lasts until the President determines the situation has been resolved.
