The new JUPITER supercomputer, inaugurated by Commissioner Zaharieva and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz at Forschungszentrum Jülich, has officially become the first European
system to surpass the exascale threshold. JUPITER can perform more than one quintillion operations per second. It is comparable to the combined power of one million modern smartphones.
